:- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Mauricio Martinez -- Deep insight into social justice : It was a heavy, thorough reading on all the factors affecting social justice (injustice?). The author does a great job using analogies to make the reader understand where are all those underlying factors that make our modern civilizations much more complex than what meets the eye. I definitely recommend this text if you are interested in clever writing and a thorough dissection of the threads of contemporary sociology. ( Reviewed in the United States on October 13, 2021 )
- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Edgar Aznar -- Challenging the system with practical and tactical methods : The first Overton Window (OW) book I read was the result of a review by the author of what I considered a great book: “Why Nations Fail”. That first instalment of OW, “Insurrection, Right Now”, captivated me because of how well-crafted all his theories were around such a complex field as the one the author was conveying in his title. I already commented in the review that I wrote that the book demanded a constant revision of thoughts, as the approach to which OW subjected us was constant, forward and backward, forward and backward. In other words, intellectual challenge, wisdom and analysis. I complemented my reading purchasing his second book, “Political Solution to the Constitutional Rights”. That second title was a good expansion of more concepts, transmitted with accuracy and preparing the reader for the final goal, his third book “Social Justice, Freedom + Equality + Fraternity”, a book that was meant to be more practical, down to tactics and concrete actions. In fact, I have to admit that when I bought his third book, the first thing I thought was: "let's see how he puts into practice in this book all the theory and concepts described in his two previous books”. And very slowly, like someone who enters an enchanted forest, I began to read the book the third book. I started to read the introductions to the chapters, and I was captivated by how well chosen his quotations were. Direct, full of irony and in a manner where you can spend a long time digging profoundly about them. ( Reviewed in Spain on October 20, 2021 )
